This analysis is based on demographic and economic conditions that currently exist in the Jackson market, along with emerging trends and projected growth stemming from the BlueOval City project that is under construction.
BlueOval City is a collaboration between Ford Motor Company and SK, a lithium-ion battery manufacturer, to produce the next generation of electric vehicles. Initial production is scheduled to begin in 2025 of the next-generation electric truck.
Construction of the $5.6 billion project is currently underway at the West Tennessee Megasite, with initial development occupying approximately 3,600 acres. BlueOval City is located 40 miles west of downtown Jackson, TN.
